Southern Wake Academy (SWA) believes that students should be well-rounded.  This means a balanced approach to athletics, academics, and community service.  Our athletics program offers our students, parents, faculty, and staff the opportunity to learn, grow, and compete in a collegial setting, while still upholding the values of Southern Wake Academy.

We field teams in basketball, cheerleading, co-ed soccer, cross country, tennis, and ultimate Frisbee.  The Southern Wake Academy Lions won the North Carolina Charter School Athletic League State Championship in men's basketball in 2007-2008!
